Job TitlePromotes, protects, maintains, and attains optimal care for the physical and mental health of District students.New Hire Hourly Rate: Grade 12: $33.03 - $37.12 Internal Hourly Rate: Determined by the ESSA Negotiated AgreementWork Hours: 7.5 hours per day Work Year: 10 months Bargaining Unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA)Job Qualifications/RequirementsCurrent state of Alaska registered professional nurse license. Current nursing skills as shown through attendance in continuing education classes; current first aid skills and current basic life support certification. Knowledge of community health and medical resources, Bloodborne pathogen procedures, and standard precautions. Ability to relate and communicate with others, with emphasis on handling exceptional students. Must be able to travel to various schools and offices within the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
