Job Title

Registered Nurse – NICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM start) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Community Level 3 NICU with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity
• Care for neonatal patients including rule-out sepsis, premature and late preterm infants, IDDM of gestational diabetes, and neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)
• Manage and monitor patients on ventilators in collaboration with Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems for documentation and patient monitoring
• Participate in holiday rotations integrated with the core staff schedule
• Support patient transitions including discharge to home or transfer to pediatrics from the locked NICU unit

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Experience working in a NICU setting
• Ability to work night shifts including every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems
• Prior experience caring for ventilator-dependent neonatal patients
• Charge Nurse experience in a NICU or similar acute care setting
