Chemistry and Biochemistry Lecturer – Academic Year 2026/27 Position: Lecturer Day/Time: Varies Modality: In‑person College: College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at California State University San Marcos invites applications for part‑time lecturer positions throughout the 2026/27 academic year. Appointments may range from a single day to a full semester and can be renewed for subsequent years based on teaching performance and availability. Candidates seeking the next academic year must apply to the new pool by June 15. Minimum Qualifications A master’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field. Compliance with the California State University Out‑of‑State Employment Policy: the appointment is limited to work performed within California. Preferred Qualifications A terminal degree in chemistry or a closely related field. Demonstrated intercultural competence and a commitment to serving the campus community through teaching and, where applicable, service. Salary Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $6,008 per full‑time month. CSU Classification ranges: Lecturer A – AY : $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month; Lecturer B – AY : $6,221 – $13,224 per full‑time month.
