Adaptive Physical Education Teacher

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher to support students in a school district in Texas for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about helping students with disabilities develop motor skills, physical fitness, and confidence through individualized instruction.

- Develop and implement adaptive physical education programs tailored to each student's IEP goals.
- Assess students' motor development, physical abilities, and functional skills.
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with a variety of disabilities.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations related to adaptive physical education services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Education, Adaptive Physical Education, or a related field.
- Active Texas teaching certification with Physical Education endorsement required.
- Adaptive Physical Education certification or experience preferred.
- Previous school-based experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
