How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Manage post-thoracic surgery patients including lobectomy, pneumonectomy, VATS procedures, and chest wall surgeries
• Close collaboration with the thoracic surgery team and pulmonary interventionalists.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions including lung cancer.
• Monitor and manage chest tubes, pleural drains, and post-operative complications
• Assess and respond to respiratory compromise, including oxygen therapy, high-flow devices, and non-invasive ventilation

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• Must obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification for this unit within the first 3 months.
