The Clinical Pharmacist will serve in a dynamic Emergency Room environment that functions as both a critical access point and a cornerstone of the broader local urgent care, multi-site network. This high-volume emergency department provides rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment for diverse patient populations, collaborating closely with urgent care access points to ensure seamless transitions and optimized throughput. As part of a coordinated multi-location system, the Emergency Room emphasizes efficient care delivery, advanced medication safety practices, and integrated communication across sites, allowing the Clinical Pharmacist to impact patient care at multiple levels.

Reporting to Pharmacy Leadership, the Clinical Pharmacist will work alongside experienced emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, and friendly, highly skilled nurses within a diverse and collaborative healthcare professional team. Responsibilities include real-time medication verification, participation in trauma and critical response situations, antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetic dosing, patient counseling, and interdisciplinary rounding. The Clinical Pharmacist will be supported by pharmacy technicians, clinical protocols, and decision-support tools designed to enhance safety and efficiency, fostering a culture of shared governance, open communication, and continuous improvement.
