We have end-to-end control of all phases of the business, producing and fulfilling the product in-house, which is extremely rare for companies our size. Being vertically integrated also enables us to incorporate customers directly in the development process.We are not accepting candidates from third-party recruiters or agencies for this role — direct applicants only.The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical and robotic equipment (including software programming).What You'll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This PartSupervising and leading all maintenance processes and operationsManaging maintenance personnel by setting direction and prioritiesTracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenanceMaintaining all machinery to ensure it's at working standardsCreating, implementing and maintaining maintenance department proceduresConducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problemsPlanning and managing all repair and installation activitiesEnsuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and proceduresAssigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimatesDocumenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logsOverseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessaryManaging, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than forecastDeveloping and maintaining quality standardsDeveloping and maintaining team safety standardsParticipating in designing and developing future production capacities by attending design meetings; coordinating with Research & Development regarding product changes and improvements; and updating maintenance operating procedures and schedules to incorporate the changesDeveloping team and supervisor skills by conducting training meetings; one on one development sessions; outside technical skills training; and establishing and monitoring performance reviewsOther duties as assignedWhat You've Done And Who You AreExperience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.High school diploma or equivalent qualification.Bachelor's degree in business administration, facility management, or a similar field is plusA minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance.At least 2-3 years previous managerial experience.Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment.Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skillsDetail oriented and organizedProficient computer skills in spreadsheets; databases and word processingSelf motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skillsStrong knowledge in Maintenance and ReliabilityStrong background in HAACP; safety; GMPMust have a hands-on work ethicBilingual preferredExperience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.What We're Looking ForSomeone that can partner and influence at all different levelsNot afraid to get out into a manufacturing operations environment to work shoulder-to-shoulder with plant leadership to resolve problems and challenges.Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast moving environmentExpectations will be clearly set, but an ambitious approach to the work is keyAbility to artfully convey even subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.A relentless drive to get things done.Curious and entrepreneurial mindset.Enjoys working in a highly collaborative and supportive team environmentFlexible, willing, and quick to learn new processes, new technology, and new ways of thinking.Why You Might Like Working HereThis is going to be fun.You have the freedom to leverage your own creativity and have a voice.Casual, friendly culture.
