Sage Health offers a structured Medical Assistant Career Ladder designed to support professional development, leadership growth, and compensation advancement.Medical Assistant Career Path:Level I – New Hire/Entry-Level MA Learn and build foundational clinical and patient care skills in the Sage Health Model of CareLevel II – Intermediate MA Expand into quality metrics, chronic disease management, and cross-training opportunitiesLevel III – Senior/Lead MA Mentor team members, support workflow optimization, and lead quality initiativesLevel IV – Clinical Supervisor/Assistant Center Manager Grow into leadership, supervision, and operational management responsibilitiesTeam members are eligible for promotional pay increases as they progress through the career ladder based on performance, certifications, training completion, and leadership development.About the RoleWhat You'll DoAs a Medical Assistant at Sage Health, you'll partner closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care to our senior patients while supporting a high-quality patient experience.Responsibilities include:Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain medical histories, record vital signs, and accurately document information in the electronic health record (EHR)Ensure patient charts, lab results, and supporting documentation are complete and available prior to appointmentsPrepare exam rooms and assist physicians and onsite specialists during examinations and proceduresSupport providers with virtual patient appointments conducted in patients' homesMaintain patient confidentiality and secure medical records in compliance with HIPAA and Sage Health policiesClean, disinfect, and stock exam rooms while maintaining proper sterilization and infection prevention standardsMonitor inventory, maintain required logs and compliance checks, and assist with supply ordering as neededRespond to patient, pharmacy, physician, and internal team communications in a professional and timely mannerCoordinate with pharmacies, diagnostic facilities, and external providers to support patient carePerform clinical duties including phlebotomy, injections, dressing changes, and suture removalParticipate in team huddles, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care coordination activitiesTravel between Sage Health center locations based on operational needs and staffing supportAdapt to evolving workflows and support a fast-paced, growing healthcare environmentPerform other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForSuccessful candidates are:Passionate about serving senior populationsDependable, professional, and accountableTeam-oriented and solutions-focusedStrong communicators with a patient-first mindsetComfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environmentOrganized and able to manage competing prioritiesAdaptable and comfortable with change in a growing organizationIs open and accepting of constructive feedback from others.
