Information Technology Specialist-Bellin College - 14572 Posted 10 days ago US:WI:Green Bay:3201 Eaton Road | Bellin College Description The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the College’s technology infrastructure to ensure reliable and efficient operations across the institution. This role provides advanced technical support to faculty and staff, manages network, server, and cloud-based systems, administers user access and security, and supports technology initiatives that advance the College’s mission. The ideal candidate is a customer-focused IT professional with strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and experience working with Microsoft environments, virtualization technologies, networking, and enterprise systems. Success in this position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively and independently, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within a higher education setting. QUALIFICATIONS: Education - Licensures: Associate degree in an information technology related field or high school graduate with equivalent five years training and experience in the field. Experience: Five years of computer and network operations experience or equivalent education and training. Experience within a higher education institution and/or health care setting desired. Knowledge: Familiar with the principles, configuration, operation, and maintenance of a Microsoft Windows environment. Familiar with the configuration and installation of current Windows Server, VMware and networking devices. Familiarity with basic desktop, network, hardware, and software troubleshooting. * Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012-2019, Windows 10, Linux, Active Directory, Office 365 Administration, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, VMware, VDI, SCCM, PowerShell, SQL a plus. ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS: The qualified candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and customer service ethics including a friendly and helpful attitude. Self-starter with ability to work responsibly on both an independent and team player basis. A willingness to learn, excellent problem-solving skills, and able to maintain accurate records and confidentiality. Organized and attentive to accuracy and detail. Ability to multi-task, manage several tasks and projects, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate flexibility and initiative.
