About the Position

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 08:00 - 16:30 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or KY State License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Nuclear Medicine experience - PET/CT experience preferred but not required Description: Call is required once every 9 weeks. Day shift hours may shift slightly due to scheduled patients. The job requires good communication skills, attention to detail, and, most importantly, patient-centeredness. Travelers will be expected to provide care to patients in General Nuclear Medicine, including routine studies like bones, gastrics, hepatos, and renals. If PET/CT trained, there is potential rotation through the PET department. Local travelers within a specific radius are not accepted. On weekdays, the call person stays late only if there is a late patient. Typically, the team is finished by 6 PM on weekdays. Weekend call coverage is from 8 AM to 5 PM for specific cases. In the previous year, there were only a few instances of being called in on weekends. This position requires maintaining a high level of patient care and attention to detail. Proper documentation and adherence to protocols are essential. Candidates may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
