Quality Control Engineer

Quality Control EngineerVenteon is currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Engineer to fill an opening with a leading aerospace manufacturer located near Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, inspection and testing processes, GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and quality documentation while working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and customers to ensure products meet stringent quality and aerospace requirements.Requirements of the Quality Control EngineerHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferredMinimum 5 years of Quality Engineering experienceMust be a U.S. CitizenStrong manufacturing quality and quality control experienceGood understanding of GD&TAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and quality requirementsKnowledge of AS9102 requirementsExperience developing inspection, testing, and quality control proceduresExperience working directly with production personnel in a hands-on manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of quality documentation, inspection records, and statistical quality dataAbility to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teamsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groupsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience programming and operating CMMs using PC-DMIS preferredAerospace composites manufacturing experience preferredSix Sigma Black Belt certification preferredBenefits of the Quality Control EngineerCompetitive salaryAdvancement potentialFull-timePaid time offMedical / Dental / Vision401(k)Responsibilities of the Quality Control EngineerDevelop and implement methods and procedures for inspection, testing, and product evaluationDevelop sampling procedures and quality inspection processesCreate and maintain forms, instructions, and documentation used to record quality checksWork with Engineering to define and document inspection and testing processesReview engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements to identify factors affecting product quality and reliabilityEnsure quality requirements and considerations are properly defined and documented within quality plansInterface directly with customers and customer quality representativesAnalyze quality issues, defects, and deviations from established standardsMaintain charts, graphs, statistical records, and other quality documentation related to defects and quality performanceProvide recommendations and corrective actions related to quality deviations and process issuesSupport quality reviews throughout the manufacturing and production processAssist with quality training programs and development of quality control training documentation as neededWork closely with engineering and production teams to ensure compliance with customer, company, and aerospace quality requirementsProvide hands-on quality engineering support throughout the manufacturing environment
