Job title: Assistant Executive DirectorReports to: Executive DirectorDescription of Position:The Asst. Ex. Director works as a liaison between residents, resident families, and staff. The Asst. Ex. Director’s duties also include problem solving resident concerns and coordinating care with the Caregivers.Staffing Pattern:The community has one Asst. E.D. position, on days only. This is the chief supervisory position for the Caregivers who provide primary care to their resident assignment.Responsibilities of the Assistant Executive Director:Caregiver scheduling and resident assignments, working within the department allowances.Coordinate admissions with Executive Director including supervising move-ins to be sure accommodations are as desired and care is immediately implemented.Family/resident admission interviews.Immediately bring prohibited conditions or at-risk residents in need of a higher level of care to the attention of the Executive Director.Coordinate care planning with home health agencies on site, working within community policy.Arrange for transportation as desired by the resident with the Transportation staff.Arrange for resident special needs involving other departments, verifying follow through.Function as a liaison with families ensuring special needs/requests/complaints are addressed. Inform Executive Director, in writing and verbally, of all family or resident complaints.Monitor staff performance, providing or arranging assistance as needed.Read all communication notes regarding the community between the Caregiver shifts.Coordinate staff training and in-service schedules with the Executive Director.Supervise the medication room and orders, working with and supervising Medication Aides and Caregivers.Other duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr
