Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer II, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.
What you'll be doing...
- Develop and integrate hard trim and overhead components into the vehicle interior.
- Handle development activities throughout a vehicle's lifecycle, including definition of requirements, execution of design, testing, and validation.
- Lead and drive a cross-functional product development team, collaborating with various departments including Interior Restraints Systems, Body Systems, Creative Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred).
- 3 or more years of experience in developing and executing technical solutions for injection molded or compression molded interior components.
- Comfort working with multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams and the ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and rapid change in a results-driven environment.
- Preferred experience with structured problem solving methods such as Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) or Red-X, and familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, and GD&T.
