This is an exciting opportunity to work with post-surgical patients, including orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro populations in a dynamic nursing environment. Experience with EPIC is a bonus, and candidates must be willing to float between units as needed.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitor side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• BLS certification via AHA required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
