Production Associate

Position Summary Production Associate at Land O’Lakes Dairy Foods, located in Hicksville, NY. Assist in manufacturing dairy products and meet production demands while ensuring quality and safety standards. Hours: 4:00pm – 1:30am. Shift schedules may include days, nights, weekends, and some holidays. Shift differential: $1.00 per hour after 8:00pm. Responsibilities Take direction from the supervisor to meet production demands. Transfer production carts to and from chillers, placing them orderly at the Work In Process (WIP) area. Orient product alignment in the Garvey table area. Flip trays in chillers when needed. Rework product that is below specifications. Keep work area clean and organized, following the “5S” program. Promote a safe work environment at all times. Follow HACCP principles, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Food & Personal Safety Procedures, company policies and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned, including transferring to the Kitchen area as needed. Required Qualifications & Experience 18 years of age or older. Ability to read, write, comprehend verbal and written instructions, and possess basic mathematical skills. Preferred Qualifications & Experience High School diploma or GED‑equivalent. Self‑reliant and able to work accurately under limited supervision. Experience with transfer from filler to chiller and informing supervisors of any discrepancies in product information. Physical Requirements Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, and raising arms. Ability to lift up to 50pounds. Ability to work in noisy environments while wearing personal protective equipment. Ability to work across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present.
