As an Access Control Officer in a retail location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and responding to alarm or access‑control activity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.30 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor entry and exit points at a retail location, verify credentials and/or authorization, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery access in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned retail areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity. Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access‑related documentation while communicating professionally with store personnel and the public. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least one year of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Experience with alarm panels is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
