Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badging protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, document visitor activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or sensitive areas. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, equipment issues, and/or other security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: A New York State Security Guard License is required. A TSA-issued TWIC is required. Be at least 21 years of age. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
