This is a Travel position. You must live more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Observation Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Details

• 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Days, Evenings, Nights, Rotating Shift Schedules
• On Call, Call Back, Charge
• Holidays and Weekends as needed

Position Overview

• The Observation unit cares for adult patients needing additional observation to determine if the patient's condition is serious enough for admission to the hospital or if the patient can be treated and released home safely
• Very fast-paced environment that turns over 20 to 27 patients per day
• Average length of stay of 27 hours
• Unit has 24/7 provider coverage
• Care for a diverse adult population of both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients
• Patients will range from short stay to full admissions

Job Requirements

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience
• Telemetry required

Required Certifications

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS (AHA ONLY)
• NIHSS
