Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking a Wire Specialist to join our Accounting team. This candidate must demonstrate superior organizational, technical and time management skills as well as be detail oriented. Basic knowledge of Excel is required. Candidates must be available to work Saturdays on a rotating basis. This position is located at our Main Office at 4401 Theater Drive, Evansville, IN 47715.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain Wire Policy/Procedures:
  • Maintain and update wire policy for the credit union
  • Help create and maintain a member wire agreement
  • Maintain the wire procedures and communicate changes with the appropriate staff
  • Update and maintain outgoing wire forms as needed
  • Coordinate staff wire training
• Process Incoming/Outgoing Wires:
  • Monitor the Alloya account for incoming wires and provide the information to the appropriate employee to be posted to the member accounts
  • Coordinate and process credit union member Domestic and International Outgoing Wire transactions through Alloya. This includes wires from branches, contact center, and the mortgage department.
    • Review wire request to ensure the proper information has been provided
    • Review wire request to ensure call back was performed or request has been signed
    • Review wire request to ensure all policies and procedures have been followed as well as all OFAC checks
    • Work with the Fraud Department when situations arise
  • Process all sold loan wire transactions the first of every month
  • Monitor international wire count for Dodd Frank requirements
  • Update wire spreadsheet weekly for the Auditing Department to review
• Assist with the reviewing and approving of RDC deposited items daily
• Assist with the Processing of Garnishments, Tax Levies, Subpoenas, and Child Support documents:
  • When received, review all documents thoroughly to ensure all needed signatures and identifying member information has been provided
  • Immediately place appropriate account holds/notes on accounts
  • Provide proper documentation to members when appropriate
  • Monitor all situations daily to ensure funds are sent and/or proper documentation is provided to the courts, attorney, or member as being requested
• Assist MSRs with questions and provide support as needed:
  • Research member's accounts to correct errors
  • Research member statements
  • Obtain copies of cleared credit union checks, deposited items and cashier's checks
  • Verify whether a cashier's check has cleared
• Assist with Daily Entry and Miscellaneous GL Balancing
• Develop a working knowledge of the credit union's DNA system and FAS accounting system as it applies to your specific job duties, utilizing IT Support System when unresolved issues arise
• Serve as a back-up for various other department tasks during vacations
• Adhere to the credit union's S.E.R.V.I.C.E. standards
• Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures.
• Any other duties assigned by my supervisor or management
