What Does a Program Lead Do? As a Program Lead, you'll continue providing direct support while helping ensure the success of the home. Responsibilities include: Building meaningful, person‑centered relationships that promote independence, dignity, and choice Assisting individuals with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and hygiene Supporting community outings, appointments, recreation, employment, and personal goals Encouraging independence, confidence, and skill development Administering medications and completing documentation accurately Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment Serving as a mentor and positive role model for Direct Support Professionals Advocating for the choices, rights, and well‑being of the people you support Every day is different, and every day makes a difference.
