Description: The Orientation Instructor is responsible for planning and delivering the orientation curriculum. This program prepares newly admitted radiography students for success in online and face-to-face components. Working under the direction of the Program Director and in coordination with the Clinical Coordinator, the instructor introduces students to program policies. The role covers professional expectations, patient safety, and radiation safety basics. It sets the tone for student professionalism, engagement, and readiness. The instructor ensures every incoming cohort begins with a consistent and well-documented orientation experience. This orientation is part of a full-time entry-level radiography program. Designed to prepare students for competent entry-level practice as radiologic technologists, the program integrates online coursework, weekly online instructor meetings, face-to-face laboratory sessions, and supervised clinical rotations. The curriculum aims to develop clinical competence, critical thinking, effective communication, and professionalism. Faculty build foundational knowledge and skills before students demonstrate competency in clinical settings. Clear delineation of faculty responsibilities supports the program's mission and accreditation.
