Job Duties:

• Interview consumer loan applicants and order credit reports; request specified information for loan application.
• Interview commercial loan applicants and order credit reports; request specified information for loan application.
• Interview mortgage loan applicants and order credit reports; requests specified information for loan application
• Perform and understand mortgage and commercial underwriting.
• Notify applicants of loan decisions; correspond with customers, applicants and/or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
• Recommend and outline loan terms; inform prospective borrowers of loan commitments.
• Develop and maintain interest rate structure that is consistent with financial institution policies and is competitive with current market.
• Review developing laws and regulations as they apply to installment loan security agreements.
• Manage delinquent loan account files for the financial institution.
• Complete property/collateral outside inspection as required.
• Maintain working knowledge and annual training on Bank Secrecy Act.
• Recognize and report suspicious activity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About You

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bilingual Preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient at writing and presenting credit memorandums.
• Good understanding and knowledge of financial institutions' products and services.
• Excellent cross-selling, management and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Knowledge of responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act through initial and periodic training.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

Education, Experience & Licenses:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related area.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a financial institution or loan setting.

Work Location: Cypress Bank, SSB at 120 S. Greer Blvd. Pittsburg, TX 75686.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday from 8:30am–5:00pm and Fridays from 8:30am–5:30pm with a 1–hour lunch break.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
