Workplace Type: Onsite -- First 6 months 5 days/week, transitioning to 3 days/week thereafter Position Overview TALNT Team is partnering with a well‑known San Antonio‑based company to place a Contract Recruiter on their internal talent acquisition team. This is a high‑volume, full‑cycle recruiting role focused on sourcing and hiring skilled trades professionals. The team operates across a large, distributed organization and places a heavy emphasis on candidate relationship management in a blue‑collar, hands‑on workforce. The right person for this role understands the construction and heavy machinery/equipment recruiting landscape, knows how to work a high volume of open requisitions simultaneously, and is comfortable with the pace, unpredictability, and ongoing candidate communication that comes with recruiting in the skilled trades space. This contract position is eligible for conversion to full‑time employment based on performance. What You'll Do Manage a high volume of open requisitions simultaneously Execute full‑cycle recruiting from sourcing and screening through offer, using both inbound applicant flow and outbound sourcing strategies Partner with hiring managers across the organization to understand role requirements, set expectations, and move candidates efficiently through the process Conduct thorough candidate screens and deliver well‑documented summaries and relevant background to hiring managers Navigate a candidate population that requires consistent communication, follow‑through, and relationship management to minimize drop‑off Maintain accurate requisition and candidate data in the client ATS Support the broader TA team on net‑new growth roles and ongoing backfills across a large, active req load What We're Looking For 3+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience, with meaningful exposure to construction, heavy equipment, industrial, or skilled trades hiring Demonstrated ability to manage multiple open requisitions at a time without sacrificing candidate or hiring manager experience Comfortable recruiting blue‑collar, trade‑skilled candidates who require active pipeline management and consistent communication Strong market knowledge, knows where these candidates are, what motivates them, and how to keep them engaged through a process Experience with both inbound and outbound sourcing strategies; not reliant on apply flow alone Familiarity with ATS platforms and strong data hygiene habits Background in staffing agency environments with an industrial or skilled trades desk is strongly preferred San Antonio metro‑based and available to work onsite in the SE San Antonio area Requirements Must be able to pass a background check and 10‑panel drug screen Must be local to the San Antonio metro area and available to work onsite W2 or 1099/C2C engagement available through TALNT Team #J-18808-Ljbffr TALNT Team
