Empower Communication Across the Lifespan in the Gem State - Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist. Imagine a role where your skills can make a profound impact on individuals' lives, nurturing their ability to express themselves and reclaim their independence. As a Speech Language Pathologist in Boise, Idaho, you will be part of a supportive community dedicated to enhancing communication for those at every stage of life. Your expertise will guide individuals as they navigate the journey from childhood speech milestones to the challenges faced by seniors recovering their voice and confidence. This position offers the extraordinary chance to work with a diverse population in an environment that perfectly marries outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient scenarios. Whether your passion lies in shaping the language development of children, alleviating neurogenic communication challenges in adults, or engaging in cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for the elderly, you will discover the fulfillment and versatility that this role provides. Your day-to-day will consist of assessing patients from various age groups, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques. Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication goals, focusing on areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaboration is key here, as you will work alongside a skilled team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, all dedicated to providing holistic care strategies. Your engagement will extend beyond therapy sessions, as you offer vital education and support for both patients and their families to ensure progress continues outside the walls of the clinic. You will occasionally contribute to inpatient care, performing evaluations and interventions as necessary, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation that adheres to state and organizational standards. With your dedication to professional growth, you will regularly seek out the latest developments in the field through continued education and teamwork with peers. A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is essential, along with the completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year, unless you are already ASHA-certified. You must hold a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist, and while obtaining a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred, it's essential that you secure a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within your first month of employment. Your skill set should encompass a wide array of evidence-based treatment methods suitable for all ages, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. You will need to foster excellent relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams while adjusting your therapy techniques to accommodate all backgrounds. Additionally, strong clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and comfort with electronic medical records are necessary attributes. In return for your invaluable contributions, we offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle, and the chance to specialize in various areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Our benefits also include paid time off, holiday pay, comprehensive insurance options, and support for professional development through continuing education reimbursements. As part of our team, you will not only practice speech therapy but also immerse yourself in a mission to uplift voices, enhance communication, and create moments of joy through the beauty of connection. Here, clinicians support each other like family, embodying a spirit of cooperation over competition. Each patient carries a unique story, and together, we will help them find the right words to tell it. Boise, Idaho, is more than just a place to work - it's a vibrant city that beautifully balances outdoor adventure, cultural richness, and a friendly community. With its stunning natural features and a tapestry of cultural offerings, it's a canvas waiting for you to explore.
