Facilities And Sanitation Workers

Our client, a leading food processing company located in Vernon, CA, is seeking facilities and sanitation workers to join their meat and seafood production facility. This is a temp-to-hire position (30-day contract period before conversion) supporting a clean, safe, and USDA/SQF-compliant work environment. Multiple positions available.

Contract Duration: Temp-to-hire after 30 days

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)

Location: Vernon, CA (onsite)

Travel: None required

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, and floors
• Use high-pressure hoses and approved cleaning chemicals
• Ensure compliance with USDA and SQF food safety standards
• Conduct environmental monitoring, including temperature and cleanliness checks
• Manage waste removal, sorting, and disposal
• Complete required documentation and sanitation checklists
• Perform heavy lifting and operate cleaning equipment safely
• Work effectively in cold and wet conditions

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to work overnight shifts on a consistent schedule
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting
• Willingness to work in cold, wet, and physically challenging environments
• Basic understanding of safety and sanitation practices
• Strong attention to detail and reliability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in food processing, sanitation, or industrial cleaning
• Familiarity with USDA/SQF food safety documentation
• Experience operating high-pressure cleaning equipment
