Infrastructure EngineerLSAC's mission is to advance law and justice by promoting access, equity, and fairness in law school admission and supporting the learning journey from prelaw through practice.Pay rate: $87,000 to $94,000, depending on experienceAs a member of the Infrastructure Team, the Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the administration and operational support of enterprise infrastructure platforms. The infrastructure includes Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365 suite, Azure, Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, disaster recovery and the overall network infrastructure. Infrastructure Engineers are responsible for maintaining patch management systems, monitoring and daily maintenance of the physical and virtual infrastructure. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for participating in team planning, development and implementation of networking systems. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for documentation of systems, components, maintenance and support of on-premise and cloud-based systems.ResponsibilitiesThe individual employed in this position will be required to:Provide support and maintenance of the network environment and security platformsMonitor the infrastructure and respond to issues and problemsProactively recommend and implement process improvementsWork closely with developers and consultants in assessing needs and supporting goalsResponsible for maintenance and support of servers, hosts and virtual machinesProvide off-hours support for the network environment, customers and employees when requiredImplement solutions designed by senior engineers and architectsResolve infrastructure incidents and problemsPerform upgrades, patching, monitoring, and maintenanceParticipate in technology projectsCreate and maintain documentationEscalate complex issuesWork within established standardsExecute approved designsQualificationsThe individual employed in this position will need:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical degreeTechnical experience with 3-5 years of experience in network technology environmentsExperience working with Office 365, Azure, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Hyper-V and Exchange ServerKnowledge of internet connectivity, disaster recovery, fault tolerance, high availability and patch managementThis role does not have people management responsibilitiesThe LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner.This job operates in a remote and professional office environment. Whether remote or in-office, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.Up to 5% of travel is required for this position.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must write, talk, hear, read, and communicate effectively. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employees are often required to squat and lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
