Position: Van Driver

• Position Type: PRN (As Needed)
• Hours: Current need is approximately full-time hours with potential overtime. Schedule may vary based on resident appointments and facility needs.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, outings, and other scheduled destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation of the facility van.
• Operate the vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws, regulations, and facility policies.
• Maintain punctuality and ensure residents arrive at appointments on time.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including the use of wheelchairs, seat belts, and other mobility equipment as needed.
• Communicate effectively with facility staff regarding transportation schedules and changes.
• Adapt to daily schedule changes and appointment fluctuations.
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns, accidents, incidents, or other issues promptly.
• Maintain required certifications, licenses, and training.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record required.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a changing schedule.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, professional, and resident-focused.
• Ability to assist residents safely during transportation.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year of van driving, transportation, or related experience preferred.
• Experience working with seniors, healthcare, or long-term care residents is a plus.
