She Recruits is partnering with a nationally recognized pathology and diagnostic laboratory organization seeking an experienced AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to join its growing team in Texas.

This position offers the opportunity to combine diagnostic pathology with regional hospital support, providing comprehensive pathology services across multiple hospital-based laboratories. The successful candidate will primarily report to the laboratory in the Texarkana, Texas , while traveling throughout Texas to support affiliated hospital laboratories as needed.

• Provide diagnostic interpretation and sign-out for surgical pathology specimens
• Interpret frozen section pathology and cytology specimens
• Perform gross examination of surgical tissues as appropriate
• Provide pathology coverage for hospital-based laboratories throughout Texas
• Consult with physicians regarding pathology findings and diagnostic recommendations
• Deliver timely, accurate pathology reports to referring providers
• Participate in laboratory quality assurance, quality improvement, and infection control initiatives
• Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory standards
• Participate in departmental meetings, proficiency testing, and ongoing quality initiatives
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership, clinicians, and hospital personnel to ensure exceptional pathology services across multiple sites

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
• Current unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure in applicable state(s
• Currently practicing Pathologist
• Comfortable working on-site at the Texarkana, TX area laboratory
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout Texas
• Flexibility to support changing regional coverage needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Three or more years of pathology experience in a community hospital setting
• Experience with:
  • Surgical Pathology
  • Frozen Sections
  • Cytology
• Experience providing pathology coverage across multiple hospitals or laboratory locations
• Subspecialty training or board certification in Cytopathology or Gynecologic Pathology is a plus
