Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the accuracy and integrity of the bank's financial records. This role is responsible for general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable processing, financial reporting, and account balancing activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger, subsidiary, and correspondent bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Process accounts payable transactions and support related reporting activities.
• Maintain balanced financial records through account analysis, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Support cash management activities, official check settlements, and CDARS transactions.
• Prepare financial reports and provide operational support to the accounting department.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting or related experience preferred.
• Two years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial services experience preferred.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.
