About the Clinician's Workday The neurologist will provide inpatient consult-only services during 12-hour on-site shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, followed by 12 hours of call coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Consults include stroke, seizure, EEG interpretation and reading, and other neurological conditions. Clinicians will supervise the APP assigned to the service each day. Tele-neuro coverage through an outside group manages initial strokes overnight, resulting in generally quiet call. Board certification in Neurology is required for this position. The average daily census is approximately 20 patients. Additional Job Details Case Load/PPD: Average daily census of 20. Support Staff: It is one doc and 1 APP on each day. They do cover both TMC and SMC - but typically the APP will round at SMC for them Call Ratio/Schedule: It is 12 hours on site and 12 hours on call.
