Gouverneur Dental Associates PC is a premier dental practice in Gouverneur, NY, where we treat our patients like family. To ensure our hygienists can focus on high-level clinical care, we provide a dedicated Hygienist Assistant to manage operatory setup, breakdown, and the majority of data entry.
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our collaborative team. This role is designed for a clinician who enjoys a fast-paced yet supportive atmosphere. You will work alongside a dedicated assistant to deliver top-notch preventive care, periodontal therapy, and patient education. Pay

$45~$55 per hour

Requirements

Licensure: Valid Registered Dental Hygiene license in the State of New York.
Software Proficiency: Strong familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Clinical Knowledge: Proficiency in aseptic techniques and a solid command of medical and dental terminology.
Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a deep focus on patient comfort and interaction.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a dedicated assistant and the broader clinical team.

Job Description

Clinical Excellence: Perform thorough dental cleanings, examinations, and periodontal scaling and root planing (ScRP) for patients of all ages, including pediatric cases.
Patient Assessment: Evaluate and document oral health status, updating medical records and treatment plans with precision.
Supportive Technology: Utilize Eaglesoft dental software for clinical documentation and patient scheduling.
Health Counseling: Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the vital link between oral health and systemic wellness.
Clinical Safety: Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Administrative Integrity: Manage records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure absolute patient confidentiality.
Collaborative Care: Occasionally assist the dentist during procedures as needed, demonstrating versatility in the clinical setting.
