Certifications: BLS, CRTT, ACLS (must obtain within 90 days of start), NRP (preferred)

Must-Have:

• Experience in airway management, medication administration, ABGs, Oxygen therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, BiPAP, CPAP and nebulizers
• Night shift availability

Description:

RRT must also be able to float to Emergency Room and Adult ICU Stepdown units. This position requires rotation in adult units, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, and Pediatric unit. When assigned to NICU, assignments will vary based on acuity. Travelers may start with ACLS pending, within a 90-day window to obtain required certifications. Experience in NICU, Emergency Department and Adult ICU is preferred but not mandatory. Attendance at monthly department meetings is required if the candidate is working. If not working, the candidate must read the meeting minutes and acknowledge their understanding to management. Candidate must have experience in Adult critical care and community hospital settings. Ability to provide aerosol, bronchial hygiene, and lung inflation therapies is essential. Responsibilities include arterial blood gas draw and analysis, CPAP/BiPAP implementation and management. Experience with various patient populations including Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, and Pediatrics is expected. Candidates are required to float within the facility based on needs. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required. The department has various safety and quality initiatives that the candidate must follow. The volume of NICU cases is relatively low, and candidates may have responsibilities in other care areas. Preferred equipment includes Servo U, Servo Air, and Servo N. The traveler will be expected to take on Team Lead responsibilities at times.
