About This Role

At Reino Magico Child Care - Bright Beginnings Learning Academy of Union City, we're seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director to support our early childhood education centers. As a vital member of our leadership team, you'll collaborate with our Center Director to drive excellence in program quality, staff performance, and center operations.

This critical role will see you maintain a structured, nurturing environment for our young students, while supporting staff, managing administrative tasks, and building strong relationships with families.

We're looking for a strong leader who is organized, proactive, and seeking growth opportunities to take on a Director-level role.

What You'll Do

• Assume leadership in the Director’s absence, driving the smooth operation of our centers
• Supervise, coach, and empower our teaching staff to deliver exceptional performance
• Evaluate and ensure compliance with key regulations and standards, guaranteeing a safe and healthy environment for our students
• Participate in the enrollment process, lead tours, and foster strong family relationships
• Manage staff schedules, maintain ideal classroom ratios, and optimize resource allocation
• Oversee the management of billing, tuition collection, and our enrollment/booking systems
• Accurately record and track data, and collaborate on administrative tasks
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work culture

Requirements

• At least 1 year of leadership experience (Lead Teacher or higher)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Strong knowledge of NJ licensing regulations and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to lead staff, stay organized, and multitask effectively
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a licensed child care center
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
• Experience with tuition billing, enrollment management, or child care software systems
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills'

Nice To Haves

• Possess a Director’s Credential or be willing to obtain one
• Familiarity with Brightwheel, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Drive
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
