Details - 12-bed split ICU unit within a hospital setting, with 6 beds on each of two floors - Critically ill medical/surgical patient population including sepsis, cardiac arrest, cardiovascular disease, respiratory failure, alcohol/drug overdose and withdrawal, post-op surgical care, GI bleeding, end-of-life/comfort care, and COVID-19 complications - Higher-acuity patients on the 2nd floor staffed at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio; lower-acuity patients on the 1st floor staffed at a 1:3 ratio with PCT support - Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00 - Every other weekend required - No on-call responsibilities - Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed - 8-week contract Requirements - Active GA RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required - Current copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration Additional Information - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Local candidates are accepted - RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment - If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review - Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as one), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as one) - No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are accepted — the listed shift is firm - Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least one full year before returning as a traveler - Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time; delays may result in a two-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule American Traveler Job ID #P-726149L.
