Therapy Aide/Patient Access Technician, Per Diem Day Shift, Outpatient Rehabilitation

Patient Access Technologist – Rockville Rehabilitation Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Patient Access Technologist for our Rockville Rehab Team. This role supports patient enrollment, scheduling, and administrative tasks while contributing to the team’s mission of comprehensive care. Responsibilities Facilitate patient enrollment in outpatient programs through accurate capture of patient information (clinical and demographic) via electronic and paper means. Answer phones and perform scheduling functions courteously and promptly using customer‑centered language. Assist therapy team members with the delivery of hands‑on care as directed and instructed. Maintain department cleanliness and supplies through cleaning, organizing, stocking, and ordering materials and supplies. Participate in tasks such as faxing, scanning, report generation, and other administrative tasks as requested and instructed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a health‑related field preferred. 1–2 years’ experience in a customer‑facing role in healthcare preferred. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Work Schedule Employment type: Part‑time (per diem). Commitment: Minimum of 2 shifts a month. Shift type: Day or Weekend. Holiday requirements: Required. Coverage includes day and weekend shifts. Compensation Per diem at a rate of $20 per hour.
