Commercial Underwriting Assistant

Supporting commercial underwriting operations in a fully remote, temporary position, the Commercial Underwriting Assistant will manage accurate data, streamline processes, and deliver outstanding customer service over a duration of approximately 2-3 months. Key responsibilities Provide administrative and technical support for new business, renewals, and claims within assigned authority Evaluate risk within established guidelines and initiate non-renewal actions when necessary Ensure accurate documentation and prompt communication with agents and policyholders Required qualifications 3+ years of experience as a commercial underwriting assistant Knowledge of Commercial Lines products including property and general liability High school diploma required; Associate's degree in business administration preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge of underwriting systems and workflows
