Job Summary Top Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance (FSQAR) Leadership role in a production facility and as part of the Facility Leadership Team. Reporting to the Facility General Manager, responsible for delivering high performance against FSQAR goals and requirements, building a high‑performing FSQAR team, managing data‑driven food safety and quality programs, and ensuring compliance with FDA/USDA requirements. Essential Position Functions Builds and maintains a high‑performing FSQAR team at the facility; hires and manages a qualified plant QA/QC team to deliver against FSQAR goals. Leads the development of the facility QA teams, building skills and competencies to improve FSQAR performance and enable succession planning. Manages data‑driven Food Safety Management and Quality Assurance Programs, maintaining and improving FSQAR programs to verify new and existing processes and products meet compliance requirements. Writes, reviews, and drives implementation of facility SOPs and measures performance against them, ensuring alignment with corporate policies. Manages FDA/USDA requirements for food safety and labeling, ensuring ongoing compliance. Provides FSQAR leadership to support commercialization of new products, leading requirements in new product launches, including specification management and data‑driven performance measurement. Ensures the facility is audit‑ready, managing improvements in record review, process verification, and validation. Partners with Quality Directors on corporate projects and initiatives, leading improvement and alignment of food safety and quality systems, and providing performance updates. Education and Experience B.S. in Food Science/Technology, Microbiology, or related field, or a minimum of 8 years in a progressive quality assurance or equivalent position. 5+ years in a FSQAR supervisory role in the food manufacturing business or related field. HACCP, PCQI certifications required; SQF and internal auditor certifications preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to drive FSQAR programs and continuous improvements in a food manufacturing environment. Skilled at communicating at all levels of the organization using written, verbal, and electronic modes. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Food processing, warehouse, and food laboratory environment. May be wet or dry, temperatures ranging from 25°F to 110°F. Exposure to hazardous materials. Ability to climb ladders, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Exempt only: position eligible for a bonus based on company goals/performance.
