Job Summary This position is responsible for operating paint lines Essential Duties & Responsibilities Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools Paint parts as necessary to meet production standards. Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches and various gauges and other tools. Perform source inspection as established Perform daily TPM Uses stop the line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns Performs daily duties per work instructions / standard work Completes all daily data collection as established Must perform daily 5S activities Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements Must be able to read blueprints Must have good understanding of inventory control Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions Must have or be able to obtain a fork truck license Must recognize the importance of working in a safe manner Ability to understand what constitutes quality products Possess basic math skills Average or above average skills in numeric and visual recall Must be computer literate Must be able to obtain PAPR certification Must be clean shaven Education Requirements High school diploma or GED Experience Requirements Paint application experience is preferred. Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures General Skills Teamwork: Able to communicate effectively, participate as a member of a team and work well with others to maximize efficiency. Quality: Familiar with company policies and demonstrates knowledge of relevant procedures and importance of producing quality products. Safety: Follows general and equipment specific safety rules. Uses appropriate safety protection equipment and other safety devices. Adaptability: Positive to change associated with TBS efforts.
