Job Description

Shipping & Receiving Supervisor must possess a thorough knowledge of processes and procedures associated with supply, storage, and distribution functions within a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be responsible for inbound/outbound orders, inventory management, storage, and accurate documentation of packaged materials for their assigned dock. They will assist the Facility Manager in various tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.

Mathematical skills: the ability to perform all basic calculations (add, subtract, multiply,

and divide).

Physical demands: Must be able to lift 55 lbs.

Warehouse environment: in and outdoor with possible extreme weather conditions.

Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment

Perform various tasks in assistance or in support of the client organization including but not limited to general labor.

Be willing to work other than normal scheduled hours, which may include evenings,

weekends and/or holidays according to the needs of the business.

Punctuality is a must; be on time and ready to work at the start of shift.

Must pass the client Forklift Driver Exam for both theory and practice.

Must have a valid/current drivers license.

Participate in daily operations including loading/unloading.

Manage all or part of the Forklift Driver Team.

Perform the daily checks on the staging of cargo.

Manage the physical loading/unloading and storage of the warehouse.

Manage administration of the Forklift Drivers.

Perform the job function of the Facility Manager in their absence.

Must possess the skills to provide quality customer service, including the ability to deal

with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner within diversified situations.

Ability to perform assigned work tasks with little or no supervision.

Responsible for the same tasks as the S&R Leadman and Forklift Drivers.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and follow/execute all safety procedures/rules as outlined in the client Safety Manual and OSHA Regulations.

Possess a high standard of quality.

Thorough knowledge of all procedures, instructions, and documents of the Client Quality Manual relevant to the department and facility.
