Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU Float Pool position in Massachusetts, requiring a current MA RN license and ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the ICU Float Pool, floating as needed to ICU and PCU units
• Trauma Level I facility with potential for Trauma Level II unit coverage
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience is required
• Responsibilities include providing patient care in both ICU and PCU as needed
• Tele/ECG and medication test are required on the first day
• Dress code and facility orientation details will be provided upon hire
• First-time travelers may not be preferred but experienced travelers are encouraged to apply
• Holiday coverage may be required depending on the unit's needs

Requirements

• Active MA RN license must be in hand
• Associate degree in nursing (ASN) required
• 2-5 years of recent ICU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a telemetry/ECG test on the first day; assignment may be terminated if not passed
• Experience in Trauma Level I facility preferred; will consider strong Trauma Level II experience
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Must not have worked at the facility in any capacity (perm, per diem, travel) within the past 6 months
• COVID-19 vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions permitted)
