Senior Staff Accountant

Senior Staff Accountant Garland/Sachse/Wylie area – hybrid, 3 days onsite Vaco is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the monthly close process, maintaining financial accuracy, improving processes, and helping scale the accounting function as the company continues to grow. Compensation $75-80K Key Responsibilities Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances Support revenue recognition and expense accounting in accordance with GAAP Maintain fixed asset schedules, accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules Support external audit activities and provide requested documentation Help ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and company procedures Partner with FP&A and operational teams to provide financial insights and reporting support Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability Support ERP system enhancements, implementations, and data integrity initiatives Participate in special projects, including system implementations, acquisitions, and integration activities as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience Public accounting experience strongly preferred CPA or CPA-eligible preferred Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes Experience working in a technology, SaaS, or high-growth environment preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
