Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and facility systems. This role ensures optimal machine performance, minimizes downtime, and supports production efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This will be for a day shift Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. This person will need to be comfortable working night time hours and some weekend work if needed.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and preventative maintenance on injection moulding machines (i.e. Engel, Cincinnati, Shibaura)Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issuesMaintain and repair auxiliary equipment, such as dryers, chillers, conveyors, and robots.Facility MaintenanceConduct general facility repairs to include lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and structural componentsSupport utility systems such as compressed air, water, and electrical distributionProcess SupportAssist with mold changes as requiredCollaborate with process technicians and production staff to resolve equipment-related issuesDocumentation and ComplianceMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usageFollow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standardsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysisJob RequirementsEducation & Certificates:High school diploma or GED requiredTechnical certification or associate's degree, preferredTechnical Skills & Experience:2+ years of maintenance experience required, manufacturing or injection molding environment preferredCompetenciesStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsFamiliarity with PLCs, sensors, and control systemsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprintsSolid basic computer skills, to include familiarity with MS Office programs and maintenance specific softwareGood verbal and written communication skillsCollaborative and team-oriented mindsetKey RelationshipsIncumbent will be communicating continuously with production staff, process technicians, and maintenance leadership team throughout the day. May occasionally need to collaborate with quality team and other plant leadership.Working ConditionsEmployee may be exposed to a considerable level of hazards in the work environment, such as chemicals, commercial products, exposure to potential toxins, moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/bucket lift/other.May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.Employee may be required to perform a considerable level of specific tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, extensive muscular action, frequent body movements, working positions, posture changes, visual attentiveness.Employee will be required to stand for long periods of time, as well as walking, bending, lifting, crouching, and climbing frequently.Employee will be required to wear protective eyewear, appropriate gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, hard hat, and/or other.Employee may experience progressive degrees of changing factors in the work process (changing work priorities, deadlines, accuracy, quotas, conflicting demands).Pay & Benefits:Starting hourly rate $23.97Full-time benefits including medical, dental and vision401k matchingLife insurancePaid time offPaid holidays
