Human Resources Intern

Who We're Looking For
VPL is looking for an awesome HR Intern to join our HR team who thrives on organization, loves creating great experiences for people, and takes pride in making things run smoothly behind the scenes. We're looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and excited to gain hands-on HR experience while supporting important projects across the department.

In this role, you'll assist with organizing and auditing HR files, updating documents and templates, supporting administrative projects, and helping improve HR processes and organization. You'll work closely with the HR team, gain exposure to different areas of HR, and contribute to meaningful projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

This position is expected to work approximately 15-20 hours per week, and we would love for this opportunity to continue throughout the school year.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with organizing, auditing, and maintaining HR files and employee documentation to ensure records are accurate and complete
  • Support HR projects involving the migration and organization of HR data and documents
  • Update HR documents and forms using VPL-branded templates
  • Help streamline and improve HR filing systems and administrative processes
  • Conduct file and document audits to reduce duplicate or unnecessary records
  • Assist with one-time administrative and operational HR projects
  • Provide support with office coordination and general administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
  • Collaborate with the HR team on process improvement initiatives and special projects
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and support the team where needed
