Job Description Job Description:\n\nJoin our dynamic team at our newest club location, the Julie & Mike Connors Workforce Readiness Center located in Dreher Park, West Palm Beach The Executive Club Director (ECD) will lead, manage, direct, and monitor overall daily operations within their stand-alone club and community. The ideal candidate should have the ability to strategize, train and implement high-value programs and operational initiatives. The ECD will ensure that all programming and services at the Center align with Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County’s mission, organizational goals, and best practices for youth and community development. This position will provide leadership for staff, programs, partnerships, and day-to-day center operations, establish performance standards, monitor outcomes, and ensure the Center delivers impactful, inclusive, and responsive services that meet the needs of the entire community. Additionally, this role will cultivate strong relationships with community partners, families, and stakeholders while promoting membership growth and engagement. A proactive, positive, and solution-oriented attitude is a must. Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Program Development: · Assist, plan, execute, and supervise 20-30 diverse Youth Development Programs consistent with the goals and objectives of the organization, as approved by the VP of Impact (VPI). · Develop and implement a year-round comprehensive workforce readiness strategy for 200 teens and young adults across Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County that incorporates mornings, nights and weekends · Help plan and oversee the administration of Club programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes - programs such as Academic Success, Health & Life Skills, Good Character & Citizenship, College & Career, Wellness & Sports, Cultural Arts and Workforce Development. · Assist in executing a comprehensive plan to manage 100 internship or career exploration opportunities, 10-15 industry-recognized certifications, 2 career and trade fairs and 8 guest speaker series . · Monitor, manage, report program outcomes and performance metrics on a weekly basis with a score card to ensure programs successfully meet established goals and objectives related to post-secondary placement, graduation rates, volunteer hours, and completion of certifications. · Plan, organize, and conduct programs utilizing community resources for over 300 daily participants. · Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual Club programming calendar that maps all Club-based activities by theme and season, including partner-led programs, special events, and field trips. Coordinate and plan year-round programming to ensure balanced, engaging, and age-appropriate opportunities that align with organizational goals and youth development outcomes. · Evaluate Club experience, activities and program effectiveness through monthly pulse checks, NYOI data, and two annual Program Quality Assessments, and collaborate with the VPI to drive continuous program quality improvement. Create and maintain daily and weekly program schedules aligned with BGCPBC program offerings and goals · Coordinate and lead a minimum of 3 Club tours per month for community members, partners, school leadership, donors, and prospective supporters, with a goal of conducting at least 36 tours annually to increase community engagement, partnership development, and support for Club programs and services. · Develop and maintain a strong volunteer-based support network in the areas of education, sports, cultural arts, college and career readiness, and workforce development. Recruit, train, and engage a minimum of 50 active volunteers annually to support program delivery, mentorship opportunities, special events, and youth enrichment activities. Co-lead Advisory board meetings and annual fundraising plans. · Assist with identifying and pursuing 50 funding opportunities, including grants and corporate partnerships, that support workforce readiness initiatives. · Strategically communicate with and support families to successfully implement the “Everyday Counts” campaign, ensuring K–5 members attend the Club at least 4 days per week and remain for the full duration of the program. Review attendance daily, communicate regularly with families, and use attendance data to make informed decisions that improve participation and retention. Board Development and fundraising: · Assist Regional Director of Impact (RDI) and Chief Impact Officer (CIO) in recruiting and developing an effective Advisory Board of 15-25 members. · Assist Advisory Board with projects, meetings, and events. · Attend all Advisory Board meetings. · Work with Advisory Board committees on assigned tasks. · Lead fundraising and revenue-generation efforts to secure a minimum of $300,000 annually through grants, sponsorships, partnerships, special events, and community engagement initiatives. Develop and expand earned revenue opportunities through contracted services and strategic partnerships to support Club sustainability and growth. Safety & Operations: · Establish and maintain club program goals and settings that ensure the health and safety of all members. · Build and maintain 50 partnerships with local high schools, businesses, colleges, universities, trade schools, and workforce development organizations. · Provide necessary structure and guidance to maintain discipline and acceptable behaviors in the club. Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy to achieve an average daily attendance of 300 members, 80 out of school population, 100 teens and 120 · K-5 members) and drive strong year-round program participation and completion at the Julie & Mike Connors Workforce Readiness Center. Strategically Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to engage 800 youth and young adults (in school and out of school populations) annually. · Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment and retention plan to drive year-round ELC and 21st CCLC enrollment, including summer scholarship participation. · Ensure all staff, volunteers, and other individuals follow organizational policies and procedures. · Manage the Club’s nutrition program, including completing ServSafe Manager certification. Oversee the Nutrition Assistant, coordinate daily snack and meal schedules, manage nutrition program contracts, work with partners to supplement program services, and provide training and support to ensure safe, compliant, and effective food service operations. · Responsible for conducting biannual facility safety assessments and leading monthly safety drills, including fire and tornado preparedness exercises. Develop daily and weekly program schedules in collaboration with program staff to ensure strong implementation and member engagement. Review youth program interest data, club events, attendance trends, and club rosters to make informed decisions about program offerings and scheduling. Promote and market programs to Club members and families through meetings, announcements, bulletin boards, flyers, mailings, posted schedules, and other communication methods to maximize participation. · Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual Club programming calendar that maps all Club-based activities by theme and season, including partner-led programs, special events, and field trips. Coordinate and plan year-round programming to ensure balanced, engaging, and age-appropriate opportunities that align with organizational goals and youth development outcomes. · Evaluate programs, activities, staff, and volunteers daily to ensure appropriateness and effectiveness of services provided. · Manage facilities with entire team to ensure a safe and productive work environment. · Regularly inspect and document vehicle maintenance. · Administer CPR and First Aid as necessary. · Ensure Club staff understand and effectively communicate safety standards such as ensuring all areas are safe, well ventilated, well lit, and all club equipment is maintained and in good working condition. · Inspect supplies and equipment regularly and make sure they are in good order. · Maintain a safe environment. · Assist in the supervision of the care, maintenance, and cleanliness of the equipment, building and grounds and vehicles. · Stress to all staff the requirements of Mandated child abuse reporting. Personnel Management: · Provide direct supervision to the Assistant Club Director, Bus Drivers, Membership Coordinators, Culinary Director, and Workforce Readiness Program Director. Conduct daily coaching, weekly check-ins, and monthly trainings to ensure the successful operation of all Club program areas and overall Club operations, while maintaining high-quality youth development practices and service delivery. · Effectively manage club staff, volunteers, partners, and vendors by overseeing and providing support, coaching, feedback, supervision, and guidance. · Support the evaluation of staff performance through regular observations, coaching, and feedback. Assist with completing performance reviews at least annually and recommend professional development, promotion, corrective action, discipline, or discharge as appropriate · Ensure 90-day, mid-year and annual reviews of all staff are done in a timely manner. · Provide guidance to staff so they have a clear understanding of individual member’s needs. · Lead daily and weekly staff meetings to provide guidance, foster collaboration, and drive program success. Staff Development: · Assist staff members, Youth Development Professional, & AmeriCorps with training, guidance, and responsibilities for growth, according to their individual needs. This should include a detailed and thorough member orientation prior to them starting. · Ensure that staff are encouraged to participate in a variety of trainings programs and activities including Primetime training opportunities. · Assist the Well-being and Life Skills Coordinator to provide counseling and follow-up on individual members, as needed, and identify their needs. · Responsible for conducting staff trainings and encouraging staff to participate in organizational and Prime Time trainings throughout the year Administrative: · Adhere to established time/program schedules and calendar of activities. · Establish and maintain relationships with the Advisory Boards and local schools. · Follow approved budget. · Work with Chief Administrative & Financial Officer (CAFO) and CIO in monitoring variances in income & expenses. · Increase visibility of Club programs by posting daily schedules, timely announcements of upcoming events, and timely dissemination of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers, and media releases. Maintain accurate records of activities, programs, scheduling, and members using computer database/software. Relationships: · Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines, give instructions, and advise/counsel. · External: Maintain contact with external community groups, target schools, members' parents, and others to assist in resolving challenges. · Co-Lead over 30 annual tours for donors, partners, board members, etc. Skills & Knowledge Required: · Bachelor’s degree required and Six (6) + years of professional experience in Youth Development, Education, or related field. · A minimum of 5 years of direct youth service experience and a demonstrable record of planning and implementing youth programs. Previous experience working with at-risk youth is preferred. · Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. · Demonstrated ability to creatively plan, coordinate, and evaluate quality youth programs directly and through collaboration. · Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other departments/organizations to deliver quality programs to club members and potential members. · At least 3-5 years of demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience at a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization. · Demonstrated ability to train, orient, and recognize staff, members, partners and volunteers. · Demonstrated ability to partner and maximize outside resources when necessary. · The ability to effectively communicate, verbally and electronically, in presentations to any audience. · Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). · Strong administrative skills/experience required. · Certificate of first aid and CPR (before or within 30-60 days of hire). · Valid Florida driver’s license – must be able to meet insurance requirements. · CDL, Class B Florida license with passenger & air brake endorsements and a safe driving record preferred. (Will be required to obtain license within 6 months to drive on a regular basis). Must be willing to drive 15 passenger sprinter vans. · Ability to distinguish when time to discipline and time to counsel members (good judgment). · Ability to be creative with programs, members, room decor, etc. · Skills for planning and initiating activities based on youth developmental needs.
