Criquet Shirts is looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented Designer, Knits + Sweaters to join our Design team. This role will help translate seasonal concepts into distinctive, commercially relevant product across our knit and sweater categories—from the polos and shirts at the heart of the brand to new fabrications, silhouettes, and seasonal ideas that push Criquet forward. We’re looking for someone who understands how to balance brand, creativity, and commerciality . You should have a strong eye for color, pattern, texture, and proportion, paired with the technical skills to take an idea from initial concept through production. This is a hands‑on design role. You’ll research, sketch, build tech packs, develop color and pattern, work directly with Product Development and Merchandising, participate in fittings, and stay close to the product throughout the development process. What You’ll Do Research and interpret seasonal trends across color, fabric, yarn, stitch, print, pattern, and silhouette. Design men’s knit tops and sweaters from concept through final production. Create detailed CADs, technical sketches, specifications, and tech packs. Develop seasonal color, stripe, pattern, texture, and stitch direction. Explore new knit fabrications, yarns, washes, finishes, and construction techniques that feel distinctly Criquet. Manage design information within PLM, including CADs, and BOMs Partner closely with Product Development, Merchandising, and Tech Design to balance design intent with costing, timing, and commercial needs. Lead and participate in fittings, providing clear direction on fit, proportion, construction, and finishing. Manage multiple styles and deadlines across the seasonal calendar while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Work closely with Design leadership to build a cohesive assortment and evolve the Criquet design language. Present concepts and product confidently during seasonal reviews and cross-functional meetings. Support and mentor junior designers as needed. What You’ll Bring 5+ years of experience in men’s apparel design , with meaningful experience in knits and/or sweaters. Strong understanding of knit fabrications, yarns, stitches, garment construction, fit, and finishing. Excellent eye for color, pattern, proportion, and product detail. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Miro. Strong CAD and technical sketching skills. Experience creating and managing detailed tech packs from concept through production. Experience with PLM systems Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several priorities without sacrificing the details. Ability to collaborate across Design, Merchandising, Product Development, and Tech Design. Strong communication and presentation skills. Curiosity about menswear, vintage clothing, culture, travel, and the unexpected references that can make a collection unique. A point of view.
