About the Role:

The 3rd shift Machine Helper/Utility plays a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations by assisting machine operators and ensuring the smooth functioning of production equipment. This position is responsible for preparing materials, monitoring machine performance, and performing routine maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. The role requires close collaboration with the production team to maintain safety standards and optimize workflow efficiency. The Machine Helper/Utility contributes to quality control by identifying and reporting any irregularities or defects during the manufacturing process. Ultimately, this position helps maintain a productive and safe manufacturing environment that meets company standards and production goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and operational procedures.
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
• Able to read a tape measure and calculate basic math.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with machine operation and maintenance.
• Basic mechanical aptitude or technical training.
• Certification in workplace safety or equipment handling.
• Ability to read and interpret production instructions or technical documents.

Responsibilities:

• Assist machine operators in setting up and operating manufacturing equipment.
• Prepare and supply raw materials or components to machines as needed.
• Monitor machines during operation to detect malfunctions or irregularities.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Report any equipment issues or production concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Support inventory management by tracking material usage and replenishment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets efficiently.
