RN Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Travel / Contract - Night

Job Summary Travel ICU RN for a 13‑week assignment in Falls Church, Virginia. Requirements Minimum one year recent ICU RN experience. Valid RN license in compliance with Virginia state regulations. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care to patients in the ICU. Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients. Operate and manage advanced life support equipment. Administer complex medications and advanced treatments. Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, CVP, PAC). Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record. Educate patients and families about the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care. Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technologies through ongoing education and training. Adhere to strict infection control protocols, hospital safety protocols, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance ICU patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Physical, Technical, Sensory, and Mental Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Must possess fine manipulation, push/pull, and movement skills for procedures and equipment. Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally and also independently.
