Maintenance Technician Transdev in Marietta, Georgia is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our diesel‑powered assets. Pay $31.50 - $35.50 per hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement PayScale) Benefits Vacation: up to 5 days per year Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full‑time employees / 5 hrs monthly part‑time employees Medical, dental & vision after 30 calendar days (full‑time employees), life insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits, and company holidays Company‑paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement Key Responsibilities Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on diesel engines Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge Other duties as required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience as a Diesel Mechanic ASE certifications required Proficiency with a mechanic’s tool set Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable (DOT regulation 49 CFR Part 40) Physical Requirements Work shifts or flexible schedules as needed Long periods sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen Work environment combines indoors and outdoors Drug‑Free Workplace Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen Equal Employment Opportunity Transdev is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
