Commercial Operations Manager

The Commercial Operations Manager (Comm Ops Manager) will add enterprise value by streamlining sales processes / quote-to-cash and assisting in the execution of both tactical and strategic commercial initiatives. An important part of the role will involve partnering with Supply Chain and Operations on service commitments, fill rate expectations, and inventory positioning for contract customers.They will ensure complex and time-sensitive customer order transactions are processed through the company's ERP platform accurately and on a timely basis. The Comm Ops Manager will also partner with the commercial organization to ensure high-quality data capture and maintenance in the CRM platform and assist in advancing digital ordering and customer e-commerce adoption. The role requires substantial daily interaction with Sourcing / Procurement, Operations, Technology, and Finance teams. ( This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions:

Process Excellence

• Identify common business process gaps, errors, trends and develop optimal process and systems' solutions to reduce inefficiencies, transactional friction, and enhance customer experience.
• Identify areas for data quality and workflow enhancements, thereby helping to resolve customer order quality issues through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement.
• Application of business process and systems' data knowledge to make sales order resolution/release decisions.
• Support business in data validation, transaction research, transaction correction, and root cause analysis.

CRM

• CRM subject matter expert assisting commercial team in optimized use of platform capabilities, CRM process workflows, and champion data quality and consistency.
• Ensure enterprise-wide CRM adoption and compliance.
• Partner with IT to deploy and unlock additional CRM platform capabilities.

Deal Room

• Assist sales teams in preparing required documentation and financial feasibility analysis for deal review and approval
• Document / follow up on Deal Room decisions and ensure appropriate support for successful execution.
• Partner with Sourcing / Procurement and Data Management teams for improved workflows.
• Streamline quoting turn-around, contract set up, bid and RFP response and sample and specification workflows.
• Maintain comprehensive reporting on Deal Room activity.

Other Commercial Functions

• Support commercial integration of acquired businesses as well as partnering with internal and external parties to leverage ERP / CRM capabilities as they relate to the function.
• Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or related equivalent experience preferred.
• In-depth understanding of the functionality of ERP / CRM systems (proficiency in Infor M3 highly valued).
• Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills and proficiency in using AI platforms.
• Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
• Must be a process-oriented individual with a strong sense of urgency and resolve.
• Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, written communication, and documentation skills.
• Must be able to work alone and with a team and be comfortable interacting at all levels of the organization.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
• Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
