Project Procurement Manager

Job Title & Location Project Procurement Manager – Houston, TX Job Responsibilities Conduct RFI / RFP / RFQ activities for equipment, materials, and services in collaboration with the Project Management and Engineering teams. Collaborate with Engineering and suppliers to conduct technical clarifications to support proposal development and project execution. Secure and analyze quotations, lead price and term negotiations, and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness. Present bid tab analysis to stakeholders during weekly status meetings. Coordinate with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule, and track the status of requisitions and orders. Resolve discrepancies in quantity and quality, and maintain accurate purchase orders in SAP in a timely manner. Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports, supplier database, PO details and price lists. Coordinate quality matters, engineering changes or developments between the company and suppliers. Arrange for submission and inspection of sample products as required. Assist with proposal development by securing budgetary quotes. Maintain close supplier relationships and study market trends in raw materials, commodities, etc. Present updates to leadership as needed. Attend project planning meetings to ensure strategic alignment in execution phase. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field. 7+ years of purchasing experience, preferably with equipment used in air separation processes. Valid US employment authorization without the need for visa sponsorship. Excellent computer skills (Gmail, Google Sheets, Docs, Drive, Slides). Proficiency in SAP. Strong critical thinking, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read equipment general arrangement drawings, bills of material, equipment packing lists, transportation drawings, etc. Ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work independently with little supervision. Consistent and regular attendance during regular business hours. Professionalism, good judgment, and a high degree of maturity. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of raw materials and industrial gas production processes. Familiarity with procurement principles and strategies, resource allocation, and purchasing policies. Experience with Google Workspace Suite and advanced email management. Negotiation skills that develop cooperative vendor relationships. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Interpersonal skills to foster positive team spirit and constructive cooperation. Self‑motivation, persistence, hands‑on attitude, results orientation, and a strong sense of urgency.
